I had ordered the chrome dress up kit for my mustang almost a month ago... Put it on and it fit great, except the top half of my motor was pulled apart for sandblasting and painting, and I did not realize there was a clearance issue with the valve covers and the upper intake until I got the parts done and on the care about a week or two later, reached out to American Muscle right away explaining my problem and asking ho to go about returning them and if they'd even take them because it had been a few weeks since I'd order them, although the car never was turned on with the covers on.

I got no reply and was bothered by this, sent them another email 10 days later with my previous email attached to it and explained I had gotten no response.

Today, 10 days after the second email I sent, which is 20 days after my first email, I just sent another email. I might try calling them later tomorrow if I don't get a reply again but it is hard for me to find time to call them during the day. I have never had a problem with emailing their support team before this, and I am very displeased with this situation.

I checked and rechecked my spam folder, and my trash just incase I had deleted an email I got or something, checked to make sure I was sending it to the right address and everything.

Could it be a technical problem on their end where they are not receiving my emails or are they just ignoring them because they don't want to deal with the kid that has parts that don't fit even though the kit is advertised to fit 79-85 V8's and the valve covers (the same ones in the kit) by themselves are said to fit 75-95 V8's. The only part I am having the problem with is the valve covers. The wire looms, gaskets, and the valve cover breather all fit fine but the only part that is SUPPOSE to fit a 1994 does not.

Give them a call.

AM is known for their outstanding customer service. It's pretty unusual that they aren't replying to your emails.

Don't bother with emails. Call em up, thats why I do if i ever have an issue. I had two sets of Chrome saleen wheels have finish issues, they sent me both sets for free each time to replace the defective ones.. Than they asked what they could do to satisfy this issue, and they swapped wheels for me. They've always helped me out big time, and anyone I know personally.

Yea I can't find the time to call them up. I'll try to tomorrow. And no, the passenger valve cover didn't even come close the the alt, it hits the EGR valve and bottom of the elbow on the upper intake, and the drivers side valve cover hits the entire length of the upper intake. Not sure why they say they fit 94 and 95 when my engine is pretty much stock currently minus the CAI.

Oh jeez. I've only been a customer since 2010, ordered odds and ends for my parents cars, than moved to ordering a ton of stuff for my car when I got it in 2011. Never had a problem til now. Always heard back from them via email, had trouble installing a part and called them up and a rep walked me through it, always loved them for their customer service, and the quality products are just a bonus. I'm definitely not bashing them or anything. I'm just disappointed they aren't replying to my emails this time around. Still haven't gotten anything from them. A bit strange but I will for sure give them a call as soon as I get the chance.

what valve covers wont hit it?
No nothing hits my alternator... It sits in front of the valve cover... The things could be a foot tall and wouldn't touch the alternator...

Would that space make the upper intake hit the strut tower brace? I'm not sure how much clearance I have now... And what other benefit do I get from a spacer other than it allowing the valve covers to clear?
Also, is there any particular brand your recommend?

Yes some aftermarket covers will hit your alt as most are designed for a fox front accessorie clearance.

Yes intake spacer like mustard stated..how much of a spacer..you tell us we cant see your clearance issue. Dont forget about a longer egr tube also.

Yep, tall valve covers won't clear without spacers and other shenanigans. Not worth the effort. A really nice set of fox valve covers works like a charm.
