look for used stuff, there's always people that change up their combo and sell what they have.

or look into the summit brand stuff, but remember you get what you pay for.


hell if you want loud, i should have my magnapack catback for sale soon, just as long as i find away to get it off :hammer: that's a whole other story. put that with an off road mid pipe and it will soud great, put headers with that combo and it will sound loud enough.

but the straight pipe i wouoldn't suggest.

get some Loudmouth I's i think you will like them, i have them on my car and i like it. 5.0's can get away with it but IMO 4.6 cant really with anything that isnt chambered

I have straight pipes and a mac o/r h pipe on my 94 gt and it sunds amazing ,my bro has straight pipes on his 04 gt with stock midpipe and it sounds awesome also.just the other day i was riding by a house in my neighborhood and i set off an alarm on a truck.It sounds nothing like the car in the 3rd post,it sounds like i have a cam at idle..

Don't go with straight pipes, please. Unless you have a pure drag car and want to cut it off at the heads, then it will cause you nothing but grief with local authorities and your ears.

Buy a set of FM 40's and run dumps if you want a car that's loud. Off road h-pipes are a dime a dozen to find, grab some used headers and you'll have a great sound out of your 302

Myself, I ran Mac shorties, Mac Off road h-pipe, and FM's for years and they sounded excellent...cheap, but makes a 5.0 sound like it should

yeah its the pipes,im actually going with a bassani x,the reason i went with straight pipes is cause i want a ridiculously loud car,i honestly thought it was gonna sound like crap when i was in the process of installing them but it didnt,i like it,but it is temperary until i save up for some kooks LT"S,bassani X and prob some spintech's..

To me anything sounds good with bassani.
Ill try to make a video of my car tomorrow for ya,see what you think.

Here is mine with the stock manifolds/h-pipe and no mufflers . I thought it sounded pretty good.
