I'm installing the Maximum Motorsports camber/caster plates on my 94 GT, and I'm in the process of drilling the fourth hole. I made my scribes but looking at the pic from the instructions from American Muscle webiste, the scribe marks are lined up next to the factory mark and mine are not. I was wondering for those who drilled the 4th hole, did your scribe marks lined up along the factory mark? I followed the instructions and did it twice to and my scribe marks are in the same spot.

Here are a few pics: The red arrow shows my scribe marks along with my center punch mark in the middle of the 2 scribe marks. The black arrow is the factory mark. The scribe marks are not next to the factory mark as it is shown in a pic from the instructions on American Muscle. I just want to make sure the scribe marks are correct before I drill the hole.

Here is what you do. You take the a studded plate that goes under the strut, and turn it upside down. Then make a location of the 4th hole you have to drill with a marker, and drill away.

The black mark is a spot weld. Make sure to just drill one hole and do not slot it. I had one that someone slotted it on a race car and I had to take and weld the bottom plate with studs to the tower to keep it from moving. The plate with studs does'nt need to move . The MM top plate does that.

I got the 4th hole drilled and now I'm ready to install the strut. Do I use the factory bump stop on the bottom of the stut as show in the pic? I put in the top bump stop from the kit into the dust boot. I'm curious about the bottom bump stop? In the instructions it does not say anything about using the factory bottom bump stop. For those who installed these MM plates did you use the factory bottom bump stop?

if you are using bisteins off a 2003/4 cobra, use no bump stop at all.
if you are using a different strut, use the supplied MM bumpstops, do not use the OEM bumpstop, as it will limit the travel distance of your strut.

first time i installed MM plates, i used an aftermarket bumpstop and aftermarket dust-boot.
if you do not have an aftermarket dust-boot, use the OEM bump stops and the OEM dust-boots.
if you have aftermarket dust-boots, use the MM bump stops.
