I just did the swap on my 95 about 2 months ago.

What do you want to know?

Get the 94/95 trans harness. It makes the entire swap plug and play, just unplug the aode harness at the connector on the passenger side firewall, and plug in the manual harness. Done.

Put in an alum driveshaft while you are there since you don't want to use the stock auto ds.

Make sure to get 94/95 pedal assembly so that the clutch position sensor is the correct one.

You also NEED a 5spd ecu.

Other than that, it should be the same as the fox swap.

I thought you could use an auto ecu with a manual setup but not the other way round?

I'm not sure what it is. I'll have to call my tuner later. I would think you could use the auto and just turn off the auto issues the PCM recognizes.

Who knows..

Well if you have a tuner that can turn off the auto stuff, that should work.

Otherwise, you will have issues. The car will hesitate and do weird shit randomly when it thinks its supposed to shift.

My tuner was able to change the settings to make the PCM think it had the wide ratio gear set (4R70W) instead of the AODE.

Pretty sure he could manipulate it to not recognize.

I read on another board..

You can use the same PCM but you have to change it in the chip.

If you keep the stock program the engine will hesitate when the PCM thinks its time for an AODE shift.

Its really quite simpe for a tuner, one line of encoding. The stock Auto program would read "trans_load_type_switch=6" to change to a 5 speed, you would change that parameter to ""trans_load_type_switch=0" . Tada, no more hesitation at percieved shift points. Or, if you dont have a tuner or access to one, look for the T4M0 PCM which is the 94/95 5 speed PCM.
