i'll see if i can talk them down to 100 lol. we'll see! thanks chris. and if not, i'll have to settle with limited edition purplish corbeuas ;p"yes"
one is faded far worse than the other. You can dye them... you can clean them. but the stains in the butt-part will still show through. The only way to fully recover that area is to dis-assemble the seats and do a dye-job thats powerful enough to hide them. at that point the time/supplies offset the cost of simply replacing them.
I suggest getting some standard-strength dye and giving it your best shot.... I'd also talk him/her WAY down on the price. lol.
i told him to hang tight for a month or so so i can finally get my exhaustballar. now price out dye from wal mart and do some negotiations. lol.
hey now! lol. hopefully less but who knows with my budgetlol, wtf? ... a month?
time to lock this thread. its a waste of internet.
LOL, I get douchebags doing that to me on craigs ads too. They sound like they're ready to buy, then they want you to hold the parts for a week til they get payed. Then you never hear from them again.
On the seats, I'd have them recovered by a shop. I bet you can get them done for a couple hundred each, $500 for a pair of done corbeaus is a good deal. There was a guy on one of our local boards that did upholstery on his spare time, took him a bit, but he had great prices and did awesome work.
Why would you go into negotiations and offers without cash in hand? I'd be pissed if I was the seller for wasting my time, I would've told you to F off
Just to be bluntly honest, you'd have to do a dye job on those before they'd look anywhere close to good in a tan interior.
And +1 on skipping the exhaust for now if you want these. The exhaust will be for sale forever, lol.
