Was it a vert at high altitude? Jesus that seems slow haha.
Nope. Coupe, in South Florida.
I babied the car.. Thing was gorgeous

I'm pushing towards the gears being 3.08's. The 96' and up have the 4R70W transmission. Every time I get under the car (which is all the time), I always forget to check my rear end for the ratio numbers. Everyone says these sn95's have the 2.73's in the automatics but after reviewing a chart, having 2.73's would SUCK. Based on the chart, 70mph will set me at 1700rpms with 2.73's and a tiny tad over 2,000 with 3.08's. I'm at 2,000 at 70mph.

Also, 3.08s came standard in the auto cars I believe.
My best was a 14.5 @ 96mph with a 6500ft DA. Basically a 13.4-5 @ around 100mph anywhere else. Only mods was a CAI, full exhaust, 4.10's, and a tune.

That's weird, when I ran my car bone stock 5 speed I pulled a 14.5 @ 97, 2.1 60ft. And autos where supposed to be a little bit quicker than that. Like 14.3's or something around there.
So here's the update.
2 months later and the only added modification was lowering the car 2 inches. I also took the toolbox out and sub. It was a little warmer then last time. Last time it was 55 degrees out. This time it was 78.

Did a few runs and they were all pretty similar. Slowest was 14.860.
Now I did do one run locking the torque converter. Holding the brake and giving it gas.. then letting off the brake. Put me in the 15.1 range. So yea, that doesn't work with my car. These runs are mainly holding the brake then mashing the gas when the light turns green.
I really don't see why people have such slow times with these automatic Mustangs. Seems like they're known to run high 15's. I'm running high 14's with just an X-pipe. I mean, I did see a huge difference after the X-pipe was installed and those 6 converters were gone. But almost a 1 second difference? Weird.
Yes, powerbraking. Basically brake torquing I guess you'd call it.
