So I finally found my next mustang last weekend and made the 6 hour trip to Denver and picked it up. Its an unmolested one owner 82 with 124k on it. 5.0 4 spd manual, ac , and sunroof. That's right I bought it from the original owner and got it for a steal. She drove it till 2000 and her daughter drove it while in highschool. Has been garaged and just been sitting with an occasional cruise here and there. Car is in need of little things but is an amazing starting point for a foxbody. Interior is red but it is in amazing shape. No cracks in dash, panels aren't faded seats aren't worn etc. I have always loved the 79 pace car,80-81 cobra, 82 gt nose and am stoked I found a nice 82. It has been repainted and it has door dings scratches etc and will need paint eventually and also has a fairly fresh ford crate motor in it (gonna pull off valve covers and check it out and intake manifold also as he used the cork gaskets and seems to have a leak in the back of the intake).

Mods it had when I bought it are headers, edelbrock performer intake/carb, subframe connectors. Right now my plans are to pull off all the emissions shit from Colorado so delete smog pump which is making a noise anyway, probably a carb swap (has an emissions 1400 edelbrock so think ill just get rid of it instead of rejetting it etc from the elevation change), get rid of cats and also mufflers (one has hole in it) and gears too as it has 3.08s. I also have most of a nitrous kit that will eventually find its way onto it. I also plan on eventually swapping to a 5 spd. I have a t5 sitting around from previous car that could use a little work and then put it in (may end up putting gforce gears in it before too).

Here are some pics from the ad as it is in need of cleaning up waxing etc right now.

I don't mind the wheels honestly. Are there ones id rather have yes but these don't bug me. Eventually maybe some dragster style wheels. Never been a huge fan of dark red/maroon cars but I like it on this one think it fits especially with the black. was a steal for $2k that's for sure

oh good the radio has already been removed. THAT is one job that SUCKS in the old foxes, they installed the radio into the dash, and then the dash into the car. To do it right you really need to remove the entire dash....

yeah it has a good radio and speakers already. I like the 4 eyes too and really like the 82 gt nose so I was very happy to find it

If I got one I think it would have to have T-tops though...

Last project was a t top. I didn't get to drive it much but it needed much more work then this one. yeah I wouldn't mind t tops but ill take this 82 gt over the 83 t top that was rougher. wish I had some of the parts off of it though

Are you in CO? I think I remember seeng it on craigs.

Good starter, not a fan of the porno red interior, but it looks like a solid chassis.
