I can't give an answer on the back spacing, but I know that removing the quad shock doesn't affect the car much. I did it to fit 11s with 7" backspace, and it still rides good. I do have new shocks, drag springs and good adj lower control arms.

Hey purple, I noticed you're from Harlingen. You know Manny?

BTW, the 5.5 BS will be fine. I'm currently running a 10" weld with 5.5 backspacing with no issues and with quad shocks.

dont give him incomplete info though, it may be beneficial if he is choosing new wheels. ill finish for you........

....ehhhm, Lawrence, the 5.5s will fit fine but on a 10" rim, they will stick out a little, not as much as your centerlines but will stick out. Nacho should know this since that was the reason he sold his.
id go with a 6.5" BS on a 10" wheel and stick with a 5.5 on a 8" wheel

Rob, if you felt the need to correct me, please get your shit straight. I DID NOT sell the wheels, the problem was not the 5.5 backspacing but the 27x10 Hoosier full slick. My car looks a lot better with the 26x11.5 ET Streets, sticks out about 1/16", which is nothing, almost looks flush, ask Paulino. Paul also liked how they looked on his car, and you know he's really anal about his car.

BTW, a 6.5 b/s on a 10" wheel will end up IN the fender, you'll see whenever you decide to get a set. :pimp:
