Put a motor in this weekend. Got it fired up but....... idle is way off... its not constant, little rough, and the engine dies after 10 to 30 seconds.. any ideas... i checked the following already.And I was told motor ran great before it was pulled due to rearend taking on a medien(had slick on in rain). Words of a trusted friend
1)all vacuum lines
2)fuel pump has good pressure
3)cleaned MAF
4)checked EGR
5)checked all fuel lines
6)checked wireharness
7)checked all lines going to the intake
the motor does have a aftermarket harmonic pulley. not sure the brand. would this cause bad idle?? i need help
