After replacing my cap/rotor/wires/plugs to fix my hesitation/stumbling problems, i finally decided to run the codes.
Got a bunch of EGR codes, which is a given, as they arnt even there :angel4:
But i also got a PIP failure code

The car will start and idle fine, but when i go to accelerate it will cut out, spit sputter, bog, break up, and try and die. It doesnt die on me in traffic, but after its warm and you try and restart it its slow(er) to crank over.

Car ran fine before, even made a 500 mile trip. i let it idle for about ~15 mins and then it started doing this.

Anyone got an opinion?

Get a reman distributor it will be easier to replace than tearing the distributor apart to put the PIP in your old one

depends on your budget and skill level.
$120 for a remanned, $20 for just the pip.
There is no easy way to replace the pip other that dissasemble the entire dizzy, and hopefully the bearing/ bushing isn't worn out too.

I have had this pip issue 3 times. I just put in a reman. distributor from Advance Auto Parts - has a lifetime warrantee, and replacing the entire disrtibutor takes me 25 minutes. Anyone with the slightest mechanical know how could do it faster than that. If I ever have another problem...free replacement. Highly advisable if you have the $120.00 in my opinion. Whatever that's worth.
