alright. my 94 gt is lowered but i wouldn't think that would cause this. whenever i hit a bump pothole or whatnot it sounds like someone took a hammer and smacked my frame. this problem only started after i lowered the car but i cant seem to find the problem. i didn't do an alignment but it shouldn't cause this should it?

i had a 96 gt for a short time that did this, it was pretty low on stock struts I figured the strut was bottoming out, but i didn't keep it long enough to find out for sure what the issue really was

1) check the upper strut mount to see if it came loose.

2) check your sway bar mounts

3) you could've "clocked" one of your coil springs in the pocket wrong

4) did you reuse the isolators

Did you check the endlinks? Does it only happen on big bumps/potholes or even if you hit a crack or something?

Mine did it once when I didnt have the top strut bolts tightened down but if you checked that I dont know what else it could be. Can you narrow it down to a specific side of the suspension. If you havent already I would go through all the things white95 listed and make sure its none of those

Yeah if all that stuff is good then thats probably what it is. How much did you lower it?

Is there a jolt or harshness that goes along with the noise??? If so, your strut may no longer have the stroke where it needs to be due to lowering.

I would just go ahead and upgrade shocks/struts anyways since you are that low

The rear is where the bumpstops are inside the spring. I edited my post because im assuming your talking about the front only.

Your best bet would be to measure to make sure you get the correct shock for your needs

Did you remember to install the bumpstops with the struts?

I know it sounds stupid but some people forget these kinds of things.
