Hi everybody, im new to the site and to late model mustangs. I purchased a 94 GT last week that has a few bolt ons. BBK intake, 65mm throttle body, BBK shorty headers and i'm not sure if its the stock intake upper and lower manifold cause it says (SVO motorsports) on top instead of GT? My question is there is also a BBK FMU on the car, but i want to know if it needs to be on the car with just those mods? Also there is two of the wires connected together w/ a resistor inbetween, at the plug of the MAF, would anyone know why the previous owner would do that?

Post some pics of what you're talking about please. Sounds like some weird stuff, but I'd like to see what you're talking about to be sure. :)

If your intake looks like the pic below it's a discontinued ford racing cobra intake. Prefer them over the oem units.

That's a fuel pressure regulator, not an FMU, and it's fine. As for the connection between the two wires with the resistor, remove it and ensure there isn't any exposed wire when you're done. If you pop those blue clamps off, you can wrap a small piece of electrical tape around where the "bit into" the wire and it should do the trick.

Oh, and put a fuel pressure gauge on the car and make sure it's set at 39 psi with the vacuum disconnected. After you're done checking it, reattach the vacuum line.

Paul.

Thanks on such quick reply's guys. I will remove the ebay power adder (resistor) and check the fuel pressure. I'm pretty suprised that this car had all these bolt ons and i only paid $1900 for it. I know i should read up on it, but would the car run alot better with the BAMA performance chip?

im not to worried about the exhaust or gears. I actually purchased this ride to use the engine, tranny, ecu and wiring to transplant it in my 66' Mustang. I know its a shame to do so, but i wanted the reliability of fuel injection and the t-5. I do want the car running in tip top before i do it, so there will be less bugs to work out afterwards. My goal is to enjoy the 94' chassis for a couple of months while the 66' is getting prepped. Thanks Paul again for getting a reply so quickly. This is a pretty good forum and you guys are real car enthusiasts. I will continue to read your threads and after my classic is done i will probably pick up another sn95.

Check clerance with the sn95 assesory brackets for the 66. I was thinking about the same swap when I wrecked the gt. But was told the fox brackets would work better. Something about the sn brackets being wider. So I just bought another sn95. Still want a fuel injected classic tho
