BBK LT's w/ Mac H pipe

I know they don't just bolt up, however I'm going to take the time to get it to work since I thoroughly dislike the sound of an xpipe. Just trying to see who has don't this, or had an exhaust shop do it. I wouldn't mind having an idea of exactly what didn't line up and what was modified. Oops almost forgot this is on a '94 GT. Thanks and I will keep updated.

X pipes sound deadly on push rods h pipes are so 1990

I currently have an x pipe and it has a trucklike rasp from 2000-3400. It sounds like death, yes ha.

the mac H pipe is two pieces so it's possible you could just slide the halves together or apart to fit up to your bbk lt's, i had one though and it fit like dog sh.


Which brand X pipe did you have?

Still have the BBK xpipe that are for my headers. I just really dislike the xpipe sound.

yeah the clamshell design X pipes don't have as nice a sound as the true X pipes do...

That's what I have heard. I've already got a donor Mac h-pipe that I picked up cheap. Hoping someone has pictures or a few suggestions before I dive in fully

Here's an idea, maybe someone can help me out. What if I took the Mac H and cut it the correct length and welded on the upper legs from the BBK X so that it lines up off the headers.

if you already have it why not just test it out and see if it fits? and why bother cutting up two pipes when you can just cut the H pipe to fit?

I've already semi attempted. It was about 8 at night and I got pissed ha. I may try to refit tomorrow and post pictures of what I encounter.

still no need to cut up both pipes at this point. I'd think a muffler shop should be able to get the H pipe fitted.
