I have new pulleys (all) and now have a tensioner (also new) alignment problem.
Has any of you ever added a shim or two to your belt tensioner to bring to where it rides aligned?
Please let me know if you have, because I am sure I will be doing this in the next two days. I could use your experienced advice...
Thanks

I had one once it was , the belt was hanging on the very edge
I put it in a vise and pushed the bearing in a little bit to compensate and worked fine

There is a reason it is off. It should not need to be shimmed. Might need a new accessory bracket or something.

Last time I had that problem it was my ac compressor. The clutch assembly wasn’t in all the way and that pushed the belt out. The belt would sit about halfway out on the idler. I replaced the ac compressor and it fixed that problem.

check the harmonic balancer. there is a rubber insert and they come apart. if yours is separating, could throw off the alignment.
