Ok guys so I discovered a bent pushrod. Only slightly but still bent enough to not be flat on a table. Would this be a cause or vslvetrain noise?

It COULD be. It could be contacting on the inside of the galley as it goes up and down if it's bent bad enough. Also, since it's now theoretically shorter, it could be making some noise as the cam transitions from ramp down to base circle. When it's on base circle, there is essentially no preload with the shorter pushrod, possibly even a little clearance and freeplay. If anything, it'd be a ticking noise.

What bent the pushrod?

a bit of ptv clearance issues. But that's been solved. I'm working through some tickig sounds as of right now. It's linear with rpms and I can hear it off of outside objects as well as in the cabin. I've got another pushrod coming though just to be sure.

How bent are we talking? Visibly, or do you have to do the roll to see it?
What happens when you adjust the last on that rod?

I put it in a drill and you can see the wobble. It'll lash out well. Car runs well just ticks.

If it matters they are scorpion 1.6s but my other thought is that the rockers are slightly contacting the valvecovers because I did have to grind them a bit to make them clear.

fox covers that have already had to have a bit grinded off them near the oil filler.

Scorpions FTW :headbang: I misinterpreted your comment about grinding, what do you grind to make em fit? All I had to grind was the middle support on the shallow side.

Middle support and baffle under the oil fill. Im wondering if I still need to grind just a hair more. My pushrod should be here today now that I think about it.

Yea yanked mine. I'm just wondering if its just barely contacting the valvecovers enough to make noise.Or it could be that janky pushrod.

support for what? On the sides of the valvecovers or the supports for the baffle?

just the one in the middle of the valve cover on the shallow side, I didn't have to do anything with the baffle.
