best muffler choice

im starting to feel like i should shy away from flowmasters now. Does anyone know how bad the 2k drone is, cause my car sounds real good at 2k and id hate to give that up for a little more volume. How would the 40s compare to magnaflow.


also i wanted to know some opinions on pro 50 vs. steeda tri ax. I think im gonna go with the steeda.

Flwomaster's on a stock H will make you want to open the door and jump out of the car at 2k after about an hour, lol. I also can't endorse SLP LM1's, and most people that have had them will agree with me there.

Bassani's sound great, Magnaflows are almost as good. My last set-up was longtube's, offroad H, SLP with Flowmaster Super 40's welded in, and it was pretty good, I'd give it a 7.5 on the good scale, with Bassini's being 10.

if you do alot of highway driving, shy away from the flowmasters, especially with an offroad pipe. The drone is just too much on the highway, i have to either ease off or ease onto the gas pedal to get the drone away. Another bad part about the flowmasters is that mine is all rusted out, definetly go with a ss system

i got some magnaflow XL turbo mufflers off ebay for like $90 bucks for both of them. I think they sound sweet with my MAC o/r H-pipe.

stalling out?? ??? it may be cause of my phone. i rev it up then let it just go back to idle. i dont think the recorder on my phone could pick it up at idle cause it may have been too quiet.

that's probably what it is. it sounded like your car was stalling or something. guess i shoulda turned it up more :comando:

I went on mustang exhaust and I think the magnaflows sound the absolute best. I think they have the best note of all the exhaust systems I have heard (kinda hard to tell over the internet because the mic cant exactly pick up all the notes the exhaust gives off with out facking up)

magnaflows are a good choice too. 3rd on my list
