i know that it adds more air into the intake, but does it suck gas milage too? I have been offered a brand new mac 70mm throttle body plus some cash for an explorer intake i have and might take it up if it doesn't effect mpg. what other benifits does it have?

The height of your gas pedal from the floor has a much more significant effect on fuel mileage than the size of your throttle body opening.

yah, he's giving me $100 plus the throttle body which is pretty good i think. I have two explorer intakes from the junkyard that i payed 50 for each so i'm not too worried about hte cash. I'm going to get it and now i'll have pretty much everything besides a cam and gears i can for now.

yah, now i just have to convince my dad to let me get a cam. i'm thinking of the thumpr cam since its mild enough for my set up and will sound good. IDK, i don't have the money to spend much on a cam right now so i may wait till i can get a custom one.

Yeah I have a 70mm BBK T.B. & MAF, I got with the car. Everyting else is stock, so I am also interested in the benefit (if any), in bolting this stuff on with no other mods. Oh yeah, I think you need to thread back and read the posts about cam swaps on our cars, From what I know, the Steeda #19 is the best option, our computers are sensative to cam profiles.

you can pick up a FRPP cam for roughly 150 170 or so, even under 100 used. i saw a b cam on corral the other day for 100 shipped.

It is a good deal but until you uncork some of the other bottle necks that are in the motor you wont notice to much. Often times just one mod does not do much, its a combination of things that really pick up HP. You did not say if you have any other mods but I assume your stock as far as your air induction and your upper/lower intake and heads.
