I'd definitely like to paint mine with a true black, my car looks kinda gray in the sun but I'm thinking mostly cause it's old. Do you have any pics that show your blue pearl? It's probably hard to capture but I'd like to see it.

Same that's one of the next things on my list to do.

+1 on the pics man.

I love my black and i don't have the time right now to keep it clean. My car has to sit on the street as we have both my Speed 6 and her 4 Runner in the driveway. I could get it up close to my garage but then i wouldn't be able to get my bike in and out.

I love a nice layer of paint. But honestly, on my car I don't want showcar paint just because I hate maintaining it when I drive it everyday. I'd rather have real nice paint that I don't have to worry over horribly. Driving it and working on it is more fun to me than washing it. That's why I will never own a black car. I love the look of black cars, but honestly i'm too lazy to clean it, yet too OCD to let it get bad. Just not for me...

i will say that Ford puts brown in their black and its not a true black. that's why black will appear faded but in reality its just the brown showing more in light. I had mine sprayed all black with blue pearl to bring some color to the mix.

whos 57 chevy?

those are all fresh from paint. The '57 is my dads. We did a full off the frame restoration on it. Pic or two of that before you ask:

for once i agree with you.

I don't give a shiit what color the car is, some are more interesting then others, some will play with your mind as to what color it is, and some are just too obvious or too ugly to even care. Black is simple, black is classy, black is sophisticated, its professional, you can take it out to the prom or you can bring it to the drag strip and do work.

I have owned 3 white vehicles and 2 black vehicles. I will say all day white is way worse to keep clean then black. and it doesn't matter, if it is ANY color but a sandstone(metallic brown) its going to show dirt.
You forgot mean. I think a black car looks mean, I love the look of a mean car :)
Um, I disagree with you on the sandstone.. The color of my Focus is actually called dirt. It may not show as much dirt as black or white, but it does show. Then again it may just be 10years of dirt that's showing that doesn't get washed off when it rains cause I never wash it, LOL.

Black is where its at for me.. My first stang was a Black 97 gt with grey guts.. I was dumb and traded it in.. Then I had a white Sn, black coupe with grey guts, a sonicblue 02 gt, and a silver Sn.. Now I got me a faded black SN95 with black guts.. And as soon as I can get the money, Cobra front bumper and a cowl hood she will get painted a metalic black (i seen it on the 05 dodge rams)..

My first stanger was a 98 GT... I still miss it...

Maintaining it sure sucked though, but i guess I was slightly better off than most because I detail cars lol....

(Car was really dirty in these pics)
