I wouldn't do the headlights just get a smoked lens and for the tailights you can use VHT Niteshades

Use VHT Niteshades for the tails. I wouldn't tint the headlights, that's never a good idea. If you want that look, get some smoked headlights.

I smoked my taillights with VHT nightshades and they came out great. A few months later i was bored and came across my leftover VHT can. so i smoked my headlights and clear corner lights with that as well. Here are some pics. Its a little dirty in the first but its the best pic of the headlights i have on my computer at the moment

I did my tail lights and my headlights, both just a hair. I went to a large paint supply store and told them what I wanted to do and they suggested a black candy paint and a high quality UV resistant clearcoat. They have been looking great for almost 3 yrs now, not a big deal but the clear helps them last much much longer.
