blacked out my lights......94GT (nite pics added)

Well I ordered a can of VHT nite-shades which was recommended by some members of this board. The results were great. I love the way my rear-end turned out. Looks killer.

My original planes with the car was to swap out the tail lights for some 96/98 lights, but I figured thats what makes our cars different, 94/95 and I like to be different. :thumb:

Over all it took me a good 5hrs but thats including the mask-taping. I used three coats of nite-shades and three of clear. I also did some sanding in between the VHT coats. Now I need to do the brake light on top.

Car goes to the body shop in three weeks, to get a new paint job and fix all the dents.

No problem. I was afraid they were going to be too dark, but they ended up being perfect. Lights still light up at night. Revers light is good too. Brake light is still bright.

I'll probably do that after the car gets painted. Where is a good place to buy those black letters?

in a light enough application they are still VERY noticeable

Looks good. I personally would have left the clear off of it and had the person who paints the car just clear over them.

VHT Niteshades is a special tint that lets light shine though it. In fact, when the lights are on you cannot even tell they are tinted.

He's right, you can't even tell they are painted, I guess thats why the can was pricey.
