Back in January of 2010 we brought home my 1996 Mustang v6 auto with 164k on the clock

pics of the day we got her home,

After a few months and a good amount of convincing my step dad finally let me put new wheels on it I bought a set of 1999 Cobra wheels with 245/45/17 tires on them

That was my first "mod" per say

Then after a few months we decided to fix my hood and just primer it black and we painted my tail light brezels while we were at it

Then after a year and days of convincing my step dad finally let me order a lowering kit for the car.

I got energy suspension ISO's and the Eibach prokit springs

Here are some of the most resent purchases Ive made for my car,

downsize-2.jpg

IRS out an 03 Cobra

and 03/04 Mustang Cobra A arms from maximum motorsports

Future plans for the car are a new hood new fenders and a Cobra nose and get it painted. Then get Cobra brakes for the front and then Cobra interior if I have the money for it.

The A arms are getting installed some time this up coming weekend and I will have pictures of the instal soon after that. I should be purchasing the new body parts soon.

Now all you gotta do is get the m90 from a supercoupe and slap that on. then you'll have a fun car

Suspension and exterior first! hah I want to get a 4.2 out of a f150 and put the super coupe heads and m90 on it that'd be so sweet.

Re: Bonestock3.8s build thread

This weekend we're getting all the front end parts and more for a super great deal, maybe even a wingless trunk lid a spare set of taillights and seats.

Hahahah yeah I agree with you on both of those Im going to cut off the ugly tail pipe some time soon and the rain gaurds are going to come off when it gets painted witch will hopefully be soon

BUT! On to progress!!

About a week or so ago we rebuilt the front end

downsize_03.jpg

MOOG sway bar end links Cobra "spec" shocks and new tie rod ends were also purchased to go along with the new a arms

downsize_01.jpg

The old stuff was badly wore out thats why the front of my car sagged so low

001.jpg

Old a arms sitting beside the new ones cant really tell much a difference visually wise but the feel 1000 times better

002.jpg

everything pulled out

004.jpg

Everything put back in sorry for no real build pictures step dad doesn't allow time to "screw around" as he would call it ha

Today I purchased two fenders a hood front bumper head lights head light panel a spoiler-less trunk lid front and rear seats and another set of tail lights for my car and got them for one hell of a good price. Bought the seats and tail lights just to sell. The tail lights have a gloss black brazel instead of a flat black like mine so I may keep them and sell my tail lights. Will have pictures of all the stuff tomorrow, soon we're going to start working on body work to get it preped and ready for paint.

Made some progress over the weekend! This weekend we pulled the front fenders hood front bumper and rear trunk and put all the newly purchased fenders hood and bumper on. Ill post the pictures of why I wanted to replace the body panels

0819111931.jpg

This dent is on the PS fender from where some one hit me in a parking lot

0819111930b.jpg

0819111930a.jpg

And these two are from where I screwed up, but now on the the build pictures!

0819111930.jpg
.
We started around 5ish on friday and by 6:30 or so when my step dad called it quits we had everything pulled except the ps fender because the antenna cable was stuck in the antenna.
0819112049.jpg

Then when we started the next morning I decide to clean up a few things behind the grill by painting them black,
0820111240.jpg

I painted more things black but dont really have any pictures of them, by the end of the day we had hung all the body panels and aligned the fenders.
0820111533.jpg

And then today I painted the fender wells and fender well inserts and we installed the head lights and aligned the hood front bumper and head lights.
0821111659.jpg

It aint pretty but it has to get ugly before it gets beautiful, next step is Im going to spray paint black the parts where the paint is piling from the bumper, but this is only temporary. Soon we are to start doing body work and prepping it for paint, if everything goes well it should be painted by the end of october, Then the IRS will go in between November and January.
