Yeah I'm sort of on a budget being that the Borla Catback itself is crazy expensive depending where you buy from, if I have extra money when the time comes I might look into headers but otherwise I'm not really too interested in doing them at the moment. I know they'll help sound/performance a bit but it seems like a bit of a stretch to me to try and get it all done at once. Headers aren't some 1 hour job like bolting on a new catback is lol. If it were sure I would definitely be looking into them more.

That is just it. I had no real plans to add headers on this year, however after a little messing around on ebay I cam accross a set that was just too good of a deal to pass up, and was local. I did the mid pipe first and then 2 years later I did the borlas. When I got the cat back I was leaning to the Bassani setup (full bassani setups sound sexy), however the magnaflow and borla setups were still on the list.......American Muscle made the decision for me, since both the bassani and the magnaflow setups were completely sold out.

That's good to know cause I don't even know the consequences if you get caught with an offroad midpipe. Dunno if they like take your car or just deal with it like its tint and tell you to take it off.

The louder the better imo.

I wouldn't worry about it dude. If you know a guy that can just pass you for inspection your good. I run an offroad X, longtubes, and a mac catback (flowpaths with tailpipes) and I've never been bothered. And my car is pretty loud. I doubt you'll have any issues, if anything just have some heatshields welded onto the x pipe so it looks like you got cats. My buddys got a 2014 5.0, i know different motor and everything but its bone stock.. Just an after cat 3'' x pipe, and full 3'' borla stinger s type catback, that thing is pretty rowdy lol. magnapacks and a offroad X sounds sick, very loud, but the borla's i think have more tone to them.

Yeah I'm sure there are plenty of ways to get around inspection. Seems like everyone who has exhaust has an offroad pipe. My uncle has the Borla AxleBack on his 2013 5.0 and it sounds sick. It's pretty loud and sounds great. The new 5.0's are just amazing noise makers though. Almost any setup on them sounds great.

Bassani does sound good. Buddy of mine had it on his 03 Lightning. Although for the money between Magnapacks, Borla and Bassani I'll take the middle of the 3. Sounds good, still digs into my pocket but is going to be well worth it. And I'm sure over time I'll work my way into wanting headers and I'll get them done too.

Yeah. The heatshields would be an easy way to make it look catted. Or if ya know a guy, who knows a guy lol something along those lines. He have the stingers or regular borlas? These new 5.0s are really loud lol, all they need is axlebacks and they scream lol
