brake caliper removal?

its a 15. I just did brakes on my 96.

you have the right size torx socket right?

Their not torx, it's like 15 mm or close to it. Don't remove the torx bolts

or really, you are giving bad advice their boss...it is a torx and if i remember its a 50 or a 55. and ill put $100 on it that its a torx...unless my stock 96 brakes are special. :rollinglaugh:

No, just you and that guy took the brakes off the hard way. Based on that write up, the guy doesn't work on brakes very much. Like the other guys said the easier way is to take the 15mm bolts off.

ehh you can do either or, if the torx bolt is stuck then take the caliper bracket off aswell. If you had the cobra brakes you can just pull the pin and it pops off.

You can, but torx are notorious for stipping out. Espescially if he's having a hard time already.

pretty much everything is stuck, one more question, How do you properly disconnect the sway bar? just to make sure im doing it right you take an open ended wrench to the top bolt and a 15mm socket to the bottom?
