How much can you torque on the banjo bolt on the rear calipers? Should I replace the washer or just try and tighten it some more?

I'm not sure how much you can torque, but my calipers did leak on a different car. I tried tightening it a lot and it didn't stop. It actually would come out a lot when I braked. I ended up just cutting the the line, putting a new bolt on and re-flaring it.

just one new crush washer. try taking it apart, looking for dirt, burrs, etc.. then try reassembling it.

Got under the car last night to fix the brake fluid leak... I did get another 1/8 of a turn on the banjo bolt, but that wasn't it. I think the rear schock has failed and the fuild is coming from it. Saw no leaks from the brake with my wife pumping the pedal, but another puddle this morning in my garage. Time to swap the schocks now I guess.
