I am curious what everyone else thinks about the hatch/fastback style? While I know they are heavier, I have always loved the style alot more and wish they would bring a hatchback, back into the mustang.

The current coupes are about all you'd get in a "fastback" style. I suppose they could make a full out coupe and chop the rear window a bit but I don't see them doing a hatchback with a new Stang.

My last hatch was my 88 GT and then my 89 LX 5.0L. They were cool for putting down the seats and carrying extra stuff. Also in High School I had at least a few times of having fun with girls back there but then you would soon forget how low the window is and bump your head or feet. I would love to see a retro Fox Body. That would be Bad A55.

Yeah they said the Iacocca was a true fastback but it wasn't a hatch right? I don't think a hatch is a bad idea, as long as they can keep the quality up.

yea I love how smooth the back end is on that, IMO its a perfect move to modernize the retro look a little more.

my only suggestion would be to bump the rear fenders out a little.... get away from the crystler crossfire look.
