Guys my car has a 148K miles on the motor right now and it starting to use quite a bit of oil so I am getting ready to build a good budget non-PI motor for my car that will make good power as far as a NA setup as well as running a 75-100 Dry shot from time to time.

Here is the build up specs:

'96 GT Block (low mileage) - getting a great deal on
'96 GT Crank (low mileage) - getting a great deal on
'95 Mark VIII Pistons (low mileage) - getting a great deal on
'95 Mark VIII Rods (low mileage) - getting a great deal on
Clevite Main & Rod Bearings
'98 NPI Heads that are going to be P&P'd and a valve job done on - just costing me the headwork
SVO Intake (already ported with everything that I need) - $400 because of helping a friend do all of the work on his car
SHM 2730 Cams (already running in my current motor) - only spent $300 on these about 2 years ago
Either do some work on the T/B that comes with the intake or get the Accufab unit
FRPP 30 lb injectors - free from the friend that I am getting my SVO intake from
Pro M Meter already calibrated for the 30 lb injectors - free from the friend I am getting the SVO intake from
FRPP Shorties (already on the car)
Bassani High Flow X (getting ready to go on the car)
SCT 4-position chip (still need to get one so that I can have a tune for 75 and 100 as well as my NA tune)
Steeda Pullies (already on the car)
Screamin Demon coil packs (already on the car)
Screamin Demon Livewires (already on the car)
'01 GT Water Pump
Kirban Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (already on the car)
Windage Tray - (still need to get)
Oil Filter Relocation Kit - (still need to get)
Oil Cooler - Getting a deal on

Other stuff that I have still to install:

NOS Dry kit - (getting a deal on) but I still need to get all of the safety features
UPR Chromoly K-member - Free from the same friend that I am getting the intake from
D&D Coilover kit with 350 lb springs for the front - My friend bought them for me for Christmas
MM 4-point CC Plates - My friend bought them for me for my Birthday
Tokico 5-way adjustable Illumina Shocks & Struts - (already on the car)
D&D Coilover kit for the rear - (still need to get)
MM full length subframes - (already have on the car)
HPM Megabite Jr. lowers - (already have on the car)
HPM Severe duty panhard bar - (already have on the car)
Steeda Tubular front swaybar - (already have on the car)
MM 4-point Gload brace - (already have on the car)
Kenny Brown Super Street Cage - (still need to get)
EVM Center X with built in DS loop - (still need to get)
EVM Radiator Enclosure V Brace - (still need to get)
EVM Tri-link Kit - (still need to get)

With this motor setup I will have 10.46:1 compression with non-PI heads. I am hoping to see over 300 rwhp with this motor setup and then over 400 rwhp on the 100 shot. I am not looking for tons of power because I have my car setup for a fun handling car / street car.

Let me know your thoughts.

Sounds like you've got some work to do.

I'm interested to see if you hit 300 HP with that NA.
I think it will come to the head porting if you do.
Your cams could do the trick.

With NA and nitrous, I wouldn't bother with the TB.

Take pics!

How do you like the ScreaminD coil pax?
Did you notice any difference?

The only reason why I went with the screamin demons is because I was getting a misfire on one of the stockers. If I had to do it again I would have went with the MSD packs and the same on the wires but since I already have these there is no reason to replace them again until they go out. You are not going to see a ton of difference from wires and coils. However I am going to try and add a MSD DIS-4 to the project also.
