Building 2v 4.6 advice.

Alright im going to buy a 03-04 2v. My goal is to make around 350-400hp to the wheels n/a. I also want to run 93 octane if possible. So lets say i did all bolt-ons ad also did cams and heads. What would my estimated hp be after that with a good tune?

I'm thinking you'll need some trickflow heads, all bolt ons, and check out VT, MHS, Comp cams for the best cam for your app

with Ported PI heads, long tubes and Comp 270's on a stock 03/4 bottom end you will make 300 easy. If you do your homework get the TSF heads, the right cams, do a different manifold and make it work, you can hit it. Check out my build.

Already have my first victim lined up! Hes a 2v guy with a Vortech lol. He says his car runs 10's. This should prove to be quite interesting. I can already tell my summers going to be fun lol.

I agree it is possible to get 350 to 400 na to the wheels out of a 2V. Cams, Heads, aluminum intake, full exhaust, custom tune, etc etc...But you will spend about the same or more as if you purchased a certain S/C. Above all do not forget about those gears and tires. You say he is running 10's? You will also need to drop a lot of weight off that car. I really do not think a 400hp na 99 to 04 stock weight Mustang GT will get into the 10's, but maybe I'm wrong.

i mean, its possible to run 10s if all he tells you is he has a vortech
that means he should definitely be above 400rwhp
it all comes down to his suspension/tires, tuning, etc
at the same time, maybe hes running 13s
only one way to find out!
