Hey everyone,
So I have some questions, As my car sits now: I have
5.0
1.5 Kenne Bell W/ 6psi
Port & Polished GT40 Heads
BBK headers
Stage 1 TF Cam

I am curious if I put a stock cam back in how much power I will lose? Also Is it normal for my car with this set up to really hate going through parking lots. It really hates being below at 1500 RPM....

Yes just so you know in advance I am a newb when it comes to V8's. I had three when i was younger but all were very basic bolt on. This is my first forced induced and cammed one. Thanks for all your help.

sounds more like your tune than anything, honestly a stage 1 boost cam shouldn't effect your idle as much as you're saying. I mean any care that is boosted really doesn't like being below 1500 rpms but at 6psi and just stage 1 cams i'd say that the problem is in the tune. If it is in the tune then putting a stock cam back in wouldn't change much... have you even had the car tuned? and if so the first place i'd check is the tune. I mean i had AFM cams in my car i think about a stage 3 equiv. and making over 600hp and I never had this issue so i'd start with the tune and make sure that the idle is set properly

1.5 doesnt have a bypass valve.. i never really liked those tfs 1 cams with a small head car, not bad with some edlebrocks.. had good luck with a similar setup and a b303 personally (ported e7's and kb 1.5)
