The only cars that handle that is Centri cars with blower cams and full bolt ons usually.

If you had blower cams you could make 450 pretty reliably I bet.

i Can make 150 right now the way it is..... with just 2 more PSI I can be at 450..... But just like you know, these cars cant handle 450rwhp.... so thats why I am at 407/420 booswtin all day in 50 degree cold and 105 degree heat.

Twin screw has the advantage all day long..... Boost full boost at 2,000RPM and FULL boost at 6,000 RPM

The point is you could probably make 450 rwhp on 9-10 psi with cams vs pushing 14 psi to make 450.....

Less stress on the motor with less boost bro.....

thus why guys have made over 500 rwhp on the stock bottom end

This thread has a lot of good information in it. You can't argue with a turbo car, it almost always have the advantage because its not being driven by belt. The belt is always the achiles heel on a boosted car.

Case in point: Twin turbo terminator vs Kennebell Viper

I still think twinscrew cars are badass but if your going true top end power the blower is always going to have the disadvantage, but if this more of street runs that contain a lot of digs, twinscrew cars are very hard to beat. I love all boost no mater how its made.

I had always heard that turbos were more efficient then the huffers unless something new came out. Ya instant torque of the SC is great right off the line but only if you can hook up.

I'd much rather drive that KB viper around than a TT Cobra, that car took way too long to make usable power. And power adder aside the cobra probably made more power so it's kind of irrelevant.

Achiles heel of turbos is lag....you just can't win. The KB viper will absolutely be more fun to drive, but if your into purely racing your gonna be king on the top end with that TT cobra. The problem is getting a turbo the proper size so it doesn't take much time to fully spool, but not run out of steam fully spooled.

Lol that's all in the setup I bet. Maybe he was spinning or taking it easy...

and thats th emoney ticket right there you win , like i said in my response its all about were in the rpm range its making power. While a turbo/centri car will likely lay down better 1/4s or highway pulls anything involving getting into it for longer than a few seconds, the PD blower is going to feel like a raped ape EVERY time out of the hole which is why they are so popular you cant recreate that even with a bottle in my experience.

Stalled auto turbo car = kill mode setup. That is one of the hardest setups to beat because the turbo never falls off, always spooling....

Yeah Knuckles I can agree with that. I guess it's possible that Cobra wasn't even reaching full boost in the lower gears. I just wouldn't want a street car that doesn't really start pulling until 4th gear, we do drive Mustangs instead of Supras after all.

I used to have a turbo setup on a 383 stroked LT1:

And currently have a nitrous setup on a built LS1 :

I obviously have a centri setup on my mustang, but the only reason I have never had a KB setup is because of all the ones I have been in its the only power adder I have not been impressed with....any setup I had/have would pass the kb setup around the same power no problems it seemed...for that type of money you can have your twin screw

Too many problems with it, hated the interior, had a lot of boost leaks, than got the ls1

Have you ever been a high horsepowered twin screw setup because 600hp KB car feels like someone punched you in the gut from a roll and a dead stop. When I first road in my friend KB's terminator back in 08 when it was rare on the street to have fun, it was probably the craziest feeling I ever had. It was tuned by Jon Lund also...

I also been in centri foxbody notch, one with Novi 2000 and the other with a single turbo kit, and they didn't have raw power feel as twinscrew car.
