Can a twin screw car be competitive for the top end?

I've been in 3 different kb setups ranging from 400 to 530rwhp...like I said just wasn't for me. To each their own I guess

Have you ever been a high horsepowered twin screw setup because 600hp KB car feels like someone punched you in the gut from a roll and a dead stop. When I first road in my friend KB's terminator back in 08 when it was rare on the street to have fun, it was probably the craziest feeling I ever had. It was tuned by Jon Lund also...

I also been in centri foxbody notch, one with Novi 2000 and the other with a single turbo kit, and they didn't have raw power feel as twinscrew car.

Ive driven a 600 rwhp termi with a KB....

it had no more balls than my car...but thats because ive got the auto and a big stall

I feel just the opposite. I like the way a big turbo hits you. Well, let me rephrase that. I personally prefer twin screw blowers, but turbo cars tend to feel faster, because once the thing spools up it takes off.

When in something that has full power all the time it doesn't "feel" as fast, but it could be faster.

Maybe that's just how it is for me? Anyone follow what I'm saying?

Well I can understand that, a lighter sn95 car depending on the power level could match KB terminator car, but that was the first boosted car I've been and felt insane, especially when it hooked from a dig. All I can see is it felt like getting punched in the gut. I can only imagine a similar setup in sn95 car with a big twin screw. Its an amazing street blower.

I think that's my problem, when you go wot and are at full boost and close to full power, it seems to just hold that power...

Yeah your used to the initial hit the from the pull, so over a longer distance of W.O.T you get use to it. On turbo car it feels like jet because its constantly going and going...

For all the 'turbo wins hands down' BS ... it's just that BS.

It's all about how the car is set up - hands down.
You can make a TS car that will pull many turbo cars top end and bottom end.
Same can be said about centri and turbo cars compared to any power adder. It's all in how you build it.

Well that may be true about the setup but if you take 2 identical cars and add 10 psi with a twin screw and 10 psi with a Turbo, you are a fool.if you think that Turbo car won't walk away from.the twin screw car.

Were arguing power adder vs power adder, not setup here and the fact is, turbos make far more power per psi.

Although I will agree, with the right setup.you can easily make one outperform the other.

Like I said a lot of factors will come into play ...intercoolers, heat sink size of blowers etc etc

Turbo hands down though
