Good Lord you are hardcore. We get to the strip at least once every two weeks if not every week (depends on everybodys work schedule) at the 1/8th mile track we go to its $5 bucks to do test n tune, and when we go to Coastal Plains its $10 to do the same. One big advantage at the 1/8th mile track there is not a massive amount of cars there so you can get a couple dozen passes in if you want compared to Jacksonville where it is jam packed all the time and if you get half a dozen runs in your doing good. I dont konw what they charge on a regular race day but that 13 and 26 you guys are paying is a lot of green, hope these tracks dont up the price that high around here.

Damn I thought it was normal for a track to charge that much, must be a northeast thing. But yea the closest track for me is 120 miles and is in canada. I'm going to the one that 150 b/c NEBOC is haveing an event there and I'm looking to buy a car near the track. Otherwise I'd probably wait till summer because there is a strip 20-30 mins from my mom's house.

I drive 3.5 hours to race my car every two weeks. So far, fingers crossed, no breakage!! lol

Thats where i'm going to be at as far as time. I would do it more, but the gas prices would kill me.

Hmmm, I've heard everything cost more up north so I assume its logical for track admition to cost more as well, your drive makes me glad Im lucky enough to live 30 miles from two of them .......even if they are only 1/8th mile ones.

The reason here in southeastern NC is simple, we have 2 1/8th mile tracks 30 miles from us and the closest 1/4 mile track is 80 miles away. Everybody would rather drive 25 minutes instead of almost a hour and a half just to go time run. I like the quarter numbers better since you get the whole run on paper including the 1/8th but we usually go in a group of 6 or more so the majority rules. We make a trip up to Coastal Plains (the 1/4 track) about every 4 months to take a trip down the 1320.

i have an 1/8th mile track 10 miles from me and rockingham 1/4th is only 50-60 miles away...i never go to the 1/8th...i always go to rockingham fri-sat late night drags you watch for $10 and run for $15 and you can run whoever you want at the track and however many times you want...also the price mainly depends on the event your running at.
