I swear I'm on this site on a daily basis, but haven't posted in a while until now. When driving to work, my car runs and drives great, but when coming to a stop, when I press the clutch in, the car will die about every third time. I can stop it by using my heel on the gas and toe on the brake. This is a real PITA. Doesn't do it all the time. I've done a full tune-up, new idle air control assembly, did a base idle reset because I thought it would fix the drop in rpm. What do you think? Could it be the EGR? Btw, it's a 95 GT 5-speed.

If it was the EGR, you'd be most prob complaining of other related issues to lean mixtures. If you already replaced the IAC and reset the idle values..how is the vacuum?? This could be a few things, either vacuum leak that caues the car to die when coming to a stop, could be the battery is on the way out and pulling to much load from the alternator, MAF could also be dirty..

On something like this, it's hard to diag without datalogged readings or even vacuum readings..

Vacuum is right at twenty on the gauge, seems fine, but I dont know that much about vacuum. I clean the maf once a month. I have a tiny exhaust leak, but new o2 sensors. I'll try tightening up the exhaust more tomorrow. I'll also check the battery and respond tomorrow

The o2's are less than a year old. When I put the o/r h-pipe on, the old o2's went bad, so I replaced them. Do I need different specific ones for the o/r h-pipe? Also, the pipe is for a fox, but the only difference I saw was how it hung off the mount on the back of the tranny crossmember. I wouldn't think that would be the problem, but I'm open to suggestions, that's why I'm here

base idle reset, tps voltage, and timing all need to be addressed here.

also, clean your maf

something exactly like this happened to my sister's car, ended up being a gummed up throttle plate and dirty throttle body.
