car goes into reverse without clutch in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what is going on??? the other night my friend was in my car at a parking lot banging gears around with the clutch in, then i noticed he put it into reverse without the clutch in. is this normal? do i need a new clutch? i have a king cobra that was put in 10,000 miles ago. help!

If the car is not started you can put it into all gears without the clutch. THIS IS NORMAL.

Get worried when it won't come out of reverse, like mine dide one night... The police were not amused by me going 30 mph down the road backwards...

i was furious, lol. I just put it in that morning, I stopped at a gas station, and kept backing up a little to try to get it out, before I knew it it was too late, so I just dumped the clutcj and took off. Aparently they followed me a bit, but I didn't notice cuz I was looking behind me, lol.
