the last couple of days when i am cruising at a constant RPM my car will kind of have a hiccup(the car feels like it jerks or has a miss when this happens). this usually only happens every once in a while. well tonight i was leaving my parents house to come home and when i started my car it had a surging idle and died once while i was letting it warm up. on my drive home it would "hiccup" constantly. felt almost as if i was constantly hitting the throttle with my foot(like on off on off on off). I need help on what this might be!! IAC? MAF?

Sounds like the MAF I had the same problem a while back on another mustang. Try hitting it with some MAF spray cleaner they sell at Autzone or Oreilys

Is the check engine light on? There can be a number of different things that could cause this... I have had: bad gasoline, failing o2 sensors, broken
ignition wire, failing ignition coil... all cause the same symptom.. If there are no codes present, I would think about the basics: (spark plugs, possible
fuel filter, mass air flow, vacuum leaks.. etc.)

it was the maf.. pulled it off today and cleaned it. car runs like a raped ape again! i should probably clean it every now and then since my filter sits down in my fender.. i have had dirty MAF's before and usually my car just runs a little shitty and doesnt have power.. so this was a new symptom for me but none the less fixed!!

Do you have a good engine block ground wire? I didn't for a while and it was making my car act pretty funky. Idk just something to check.
