and it's pi$$ing me off :angry4:

As title states, will not start, just turns over. It is the MAC Performance cold air intake. The install went well, everything seemed to connect ok.
Series of events:
Removed old assembly.
Treated the MAF with extreme care.
Installed CAI.
Reconnected all sensors, oil breather tube, etc.
Started car after install and let idle for 2-3 minutes, ran great! Revved engine and had smooth throttle response and NO fluctuation in idle. (Made the mistake of not taking it out for a longer ride perhaps?)
Next morning, will not start, just turns over. I even removed negative battery cable for 10 minutes thinking that may help the computer, no luck.

Any ideas, did I screw up by not running the car for awhile after the install?
One other question, should the screen on the MAF be removed when using the CAI system. I was hesitant because everyone I talked to was leary about removing it.

Thanks for any advice.

check all the really simple and stupid things first. Maybe the inertia switch is bad and keeping the fuel from the motor? Push the botton by the drivers tail light just to check, too easy not to be one of the first things to check.

As they said with the key on, engine off you should hear a fairly loud winning noise for 2 secs and that is the pump primiming.

I have to agree. The CAI should not have caused this. Fuses, switches, ect. Sometimes things just happen at the wrong times.

Will check the inertia switch later today as well. Thanks!

problem solved yet?

Not yet...still kinda at a loss.

I know it could be a coincidence that this happened the morning after the CAI install, but I still have to believe I knocked something loose or something.
I may have been hearing things yesterday, but now I don't hear the fuel pump prime when I turn the key. The inertia switch is not tripped, so maybe the fuel pump relay in the CCRM went bad. I think it's around the same area I was working, by the coolant overflow bottle. Hopefully it's not the fuel pump...
