Just like on the facebook page, 383w, hyd. roller, weekend warrior, looking for 450-475rwhp. What would be the easiest way to make this power? Im leaning towards carb just because of the old-school feel and the simplicity of it. What do you guys think? It will have a custom cam, afr heads(205cc), and whatever intake ends up on it after this discusion.

id go EFI as well in this case just easier to nail down a tune and have it be consistent. if your handy at messing with a carb then theres an argument for it for sure.
I wont be daily driving it at all, and dialing in carbs isnt really a big deal to me, I can do it. So there's no tuning problem really, are there any other big advantages? As soon as this build is done I will start another one that is boosted with efi, so I planned on just going carb for a quick budget build.

well if your just going a budget build like you said sounds like a carb setup would be cheapest, im assuming your other build will be a different setup up completely as in diff block and all?

i have no idea why people think it is "cheap" to carb'd. to do it correctly is by no means cheap unless you are buying someone else's used junk. the carb on my 66 i have easy 1000 invested into it and it is no race car by any means.
a properly tuned efi motor will have proper ring seal a lot longer then a carb'd motor. a carb setup is going to ring wash over time due to the simple fact they run on the rich side.

no, because i used a 351W based build. it just fits sideways using the hood in my sig.

i did it for something different. easy to tune. looks real clean. more power then i efi set up. when i open the hood, people stop, look, and just say how much they like it.
I will do carb, Im starting with a completely bare block and no car right now. It will be going into an sn95. I haven't really bought much other than the block, so carb it is lol
And yes, the turbo build will be a completely new set-up and a completely new block and soo forth. Sorry for the confusion this may have caused on facebook.

it depends with what you are starting with. either way looking at new fuel system, all the efi parts (or carb), a tune, just for motor, then some suspension to get it too hook!

well for a carb motor, best bet for fuel would be to run the fuel pump pickup (http://www.latemodelrestoration.com...-Fuel-Pump-Pickup-For-Aftermarket-Fuel-System)
and an external pump like a holley blue or red (don't remember differences right now). Also, go with a good fuel line, which isn't too hard to install.
