They have a special going on for $275 for DA Sanding, Primer, then Single Stage.

I have till thursday to think of what color. I think I'm just going with black again
I might get metallic dark blue if it's not that much more.

If you'd guys like, post what color you would go with (regular and metallic) and a pic would be sweet.

Just throwing this out there, you get what you pay for.

i'm sorry, but maaco is not good at all, and your car will probably look better going in than it does coming out

it doesn't matter what color you have them paint it, you'll get to choose a new color to respray it next year when this paint starts to fall off.
you do realize they don't paint inside the door jams, gas cap, trunk and hood areas, etc for that price.

I had over $800 in materials for a single stage paint job(all PPG), so think about that for a while.

I meant to say more earlier, got sidetracked.

I thought about getting my Bronco repainted at a Maaco earlier on, because last year on of my mom's clients had her Astro repainted and it looked pretty good. Not great, but good for a few hundred bucks. Now it looks like it did BEFORE it got painted. Better off saving up and doing it right. In the process of saving up $4k to get mine done right so I won't have to worry about it for a long ass time.

+1 I had a fox I painted, had all ppg stuff also, price there depends on what color you want more than anything. I got all my stuff for around $350, for a deep pearl blue finish. You definitely get what you pay for.

the $800 was for their top acrylic enamel and I did the inside of the bed and interior(older truck w/o headliner) w/ laquer for durability. It was a daily driver and the paint remained show quality(super chevy show 2nd place a few times) for 8 or 9 yrs before it started showing its age.

I paint all my cars myself. Have someone help me do the body work but I can paint a car. Take the time and use quality products. Your better off using rattle can's then them. 10 bottles of dark blue duplicolor and a couple cans of a f'ing clear coat LOL

Maaco will do a good job if you pay them good, but no shop is doing a good job for 279. It's not Maaco though, lol.

Macco is not a chain, companies pay to use the Macco name. And if you get yours painted, keep it the same color.

For 279 of course it'll look like shit. You can't spray paint a car for 279.

People know this, yet still go ahead and try it anyway.

supply them with the paint, and clean the car thoroughly yourself while its on their lot, and maybe you'll have a chance of it coming out half decent.

I have a friend that is a shop mgr at a local Macco and I would let them paint stuff on my car but only b/c I know him and I know they would do it right. His shop does use PPG paint

As far as just walking in off the street and expecting a good paint job at a Macco shop I wouldnt count on it though.
