I absolutely love the smell of my exhaust system. And I know every tree-hugging environmentalist douchebag does too.

I am with you on this!

Like mentioned above id buy the o/r and if you dont like it or dont feel like swapping it for emissions (not that ahrd anyways), then you can have some welded on.

I passed emissions with an o/r h ;) Just went to a real shady shop!

Add up all the $$ you have spent and will likely spend and it doesn't sound like that much really

How about this angle that many on here might not know to tell you:

On an N/A V6, you LOSE power without the cats. Dyno proven fact. No point in doing a mod that will cost you power.
I ran high flow cats from Magnaflow on my V6, even when I was chasing the prize of being the first over 600 rwhp way back in the day.

What's inspection and emissions? ;)

After living the majority of my life in California and dealing with their cracked out emissions system and overpriced DMV fees, I'm loving the inspection and emissions free life here in Florida!

Be careful. All emissions control laws apply in all 50 states - with or without the yearly inspection. FL is cracking down on violations if they pull you over for something else and catch them removed.

I'm gonna do what MC suggested and get an o/r pipe after I get inspected, then get cats when I can afford em.

Shit here in Ohio they've setup these nifty self e check systems at the stations. All you do is pull up, throw the plug in the OBDII, and go. As long as you don't have any codes you pass. And it works too. My buddy went through with his Mustang and he's got an o/r and passed. Really kick myself now thinking I spent stupid amounts of money on my Bassani when I could have just bought the o/r version. O well, ya live and ya learn.

On anything pre OBDII your still stuck running through the station and getting the sniffer jammed up your ass end. My Jeep has to go through that. But the Mustang will never have to be taken advantage of by those dirty emissions people...

And honestly since you have a 6, like stated, I'd stick with cats. If you had an 8 it's a different story. My Borla's were soooo damn droney with the cats on that it would give you a headache lol. Pulled the cat's off and it's like a whole new exhaust. I freakin love it. I'll never go back. And being Borla's there not obnoxiously loud. My Jeep's dumped flowmaster is louder, go figure.
