changeing gears?

my thoughts are 4.10s are too much gear for a power adder car with 26" tires. You could go up to 28" tires to get some more MPH out of your car...

yeah 3:55 w/ power adder maybe 3:73 but not 4:10 in that case

spdtrip, you could get away with 410s right now and be right at 6000k when you get to the end of the track. but if I were you I would just save my money from the gears and grab a used NOS set up from here http://forums.corral.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=273 run a 75 or 100 shot, get it tuned and be happy.

Oh ha I didn't even realize that was in my quote that you quoted. Currently I am running 315/35/17 Sumitomos. They are crap. I need to get my hands on some drag radials.

Buy 4.10's. You'll regret being slow if you don't. And my car came stock with 2.73's... don't always trust the gear calculator... 3.08's would have been an improvement for me.

if you ask me I think 4.10s are a little much on my setup. I have 410s behind a 331. They were on there when I got the car but I may change to a 373.

There is NO f'n that your car runs 1700-1800 at 70mph. 315/35/17 tires are roughly 25.6" tall, and SHOULD have you turning ~2375 @ 70MPH

you need to check your speedo gears

There is NO f'n that your car runs 1700-1800 at 70mph. 315/35/17 tires are roughly 25.6" tall, and SHOULD have you turning ~2375 @ 70MPH
