well its a toss up I guess guys it IS a coupe, it IS unmolested and it DOES have black interior. Plus its a 93 so its not a fossil so to speak and it ( so it says ) has never been involved in a wreck so........ You guys are not a fan of that Green either :dunno: I was thinking of offering 3k if I do get to talk to this guy, what do you think??

the key word for me is fixed RIGHT, know what I mean??? I dont want a car that has been hit, and has a jerry rig body fix on it. I want a solid car that is RIGHT to begin with, not the typical Fox stang that is a chop shop special :nonono:

I like everything about it, even the color, except the mileage because with at that mileage, it will probably need everything i.e. suspension, engine work, steering, brakes etc.... I'd try and get it in the 2500 range knowing how much money is going to have to go into it. Really love the black interior on the foxes. O0

no no no no no no!

Brian...

1. go to kbb.com and find out its value
2. PM me the VIN number and I will run a carfax and check NICB record (NICB is like carfax but supercharged for gov officials)

Don't offer 3... I doubt its worth 2 with that many miles... What you are thinking about doing is like paying 15 bucks for a happy meal...

These cars are a dime a dozen... Theres always 10 for sale...

You may find something with alot less miles and in need of some work that priced at value... never jump on a used car...

ya know what... here my friend... read this ---> http://www.sn95forums.com/Tech/Buying_a_Used_Car_for_Dummys/index.htm

i really dont think its a bad price its a notch and people want them so the demand is higher and so is the price you could go the easier route and get a 79-86 fox notch there are TONS of them and put the desired 87-93 nose and tail and quarter glass...then convert the interior but then you would probley be up to 3k i dont think its a bad price what so ever there is a stock 91 notch here with 215,000 and it has a sticker price of 4,500 and at the same lot he sold a almost identical one last month for 4,800 with 179,000 so people will buy them and honestly its not to shabby of a price

+1 I dont know how it is where you guys are, but for me getting a LOCAL car is pretty much out of the question. Everything around here is a chop shop special, meaning its a total POS that has been rebuilt over and over and has a salvage title. I DONT WANT THAT, so thats why im looking at cars that are a little ways away, I dont want to do a lot of custom work either to be honest, thats why I am passing up the 4cyl route and getting a 8 car off the bat. I am thinking about the miles that are on that car though, it would mean a total overhaul pretty much ( motor and trans are a given anyway ) but all the rest was not really in my plans for the short term. IDK Ill keep looking and wait and see if this guy gives me a return email.......maybe offer him 2k and see what he says :dunno:

Also how is the pricing where you guys are?? A decent car being CLEAN interior and exterior, good working order with say 100k on it goes for around 5k here. Thats what I paid for my 91GT about 5 years ago and that price holds today. Then if your talking a car with some mods these guys want another couple grand added to that :-\. Its hit and miss but for the most part this coupe for 3,400 is a pretty good price compared to what it would go for around here. The big selling point is that is has NEVER been hit and it has a black interior. A EXCELLENT coupe body and that interior is GOLD around this redneck part of the country :rollinglaugh:

Well get me that VIN brian... I'll make sure he's telling you the truth...

As far as the millage goes... once you hit the 200-250k area... You will have to pull the motor and rebuild it...

Don't plan on pushing that motor too hard... You will not be happy if ya do...

If I was to get it, the car would just be a easy sunday rider until I get it in the shop for the overhaul. The motor and trans would be scrapped and the rest of the stuff would be replaced with NEW Ford replacement parts.

I could go ahead and have the brakes, suspension and such done while im making my mind up on what powerplant and trans im goig to go with. I hope this guy gets up with me so i can see how LOW he will go on the price.

If yer gonna yank everything out and replace it all... why not find an old 4 banger?

You take out the 4 banger... then you bolt the v8 in... lol... theres nothing to it on these things
