ok best i could do. It was still shiny but it needed a wax. I havent waxed it since ive owned it and that is almost 2yrs ago! and as stated before ive never clay bared anything.

Much better, looks like it's wearing a few more coats of clear. First time I used clay was on a Camry where the paint felt like sand. Needless to say, clay stays in the detailing kit permanently now.

oh and if you don't have quick detailer, you can cheat too.. after you wash the car, use the clay before you dry. (Obviously spray the car down if it has dried on its own)

So I finally had a chance to Clay bar and Wax my car. Ive never clay bared a car before and I must say... WOW! I see why this is a important step when doing a full detail. There were some parts on my car where the clay would be black! It looked like I didnt even wash my car... heres some pictures, enjoy!

I bet the car feels smooth as butter. Did you use it on the glass too? I did it on my windshield and I couldn't believe that all those specs I always see were dirt.

Looks good!! ALWAYS wax your car!!! Look at Dannys car if you want motivation to wax lol

It was a hot day to be detailing a car, I know cause I had to hang out in the AC after I got through.

I didnt but i did use it on my tail lights and wow! they are clear now and look so much better! it feels like glass now

What clay bar did u go with looks great! i was thinking of getting the chemical guys stuff but the cost of shipping from them is outrageus.

I just got the maguires clay bay kit from the parts house. it comes with detailing spray and and fm towel.

^^^^ this is what i used! I got my kit from walmart and it worked great! like he said, comes with a towel, detailing spray and a little wax bottle (i think a tester product) and two clay bars

What clay bar did u go with looks great! i was thinking of getting the chemical guys stuff but the cost of shipping from them is outrageus.

Usually I take about 6 hours. I wash with like dish soap, then clay, then wash with car soap, then polish and wax.
