Cleaning Out Overlfow Tank

So I picked up a 94GT this week and now I'm cleaning it up. What do you suggest to get the inside of the overflow tank clean?

simple grean and water but only if you are remove and reinstalling.

I have filled them with 1/2 tank of water and added a cup or two of cat litter, reinstalled the cap, plugged any remaining holes with my thumb as well as possible and shook the daylights out of it. Does a real nice job. Just be sure to thoroughly rinse the tank and cap out. It's cheap and it worked very well for me.
