I picked up a set of the clear corners to match my stock cobra lights. Is there anyway to adjust them? I couldn't see any adjustment in the bucket. My stockers line up perfect, the cars never been in a wreck, etc. I need to angle them up about 1/2" to get them off the bumper and have them close to being right. What pisses me off more than the $60 i dropped on these is that I messed up the weather stripping on the stockers when I removed them so I can't put them back in.

edit, looks like the vendor is going to take care of me on these. hope it works out well.

there is a tab on the lights that is supposed to go into the fender! maybe you didn't line them up right! :dontknow: a pic of how they looked once installed might have helped us determine the problem...

100% sure i've got all 3 of the alignment tabs in + the bolt. I can't get any pics because its in the garage and I can't stand far enough back to get a good shot.
I guess i'll see if I can ship them back and exchange for OEM's or something else. I've only mounted/unwrapped 1 so far. I've got about 1/16" between the rubber and the lip of the fender that it should ride against and I've found zero adjustment so far. ugh.

Figured I'd follow up w/ this.

I bought these from CJ pony parts for about $60 and they fit like SHlT. It took me 5 separate phone calls to get a hold of someone that could/would even talk about a return. The phone number Steve supplied me was disconnected when I tried to call.
The rep was a douche, plain and simple. I explained the issues I was having and asked for another set of lights in exchange, he said they were cheap and imported and they would all fit like that. I tried to order some other parts while I was on the phone w/ him and he didn't want to take an order and all he wanted to do was issue an RMA and tell me i was responsible for return shipping by USPS only and I had to return them in the original packaging which was HUGE for 2 f*cking lights. They do not reimburse for return shipping so i'd end up getting about $40 back for them. I decided that for $40 I could go around and tell everyone how shitty i feel about receiving crap from a company then being told that they KNOW they are selling crap.

All the tabs are in and after taking some measurements these things are way out of wack.

$60 for corner lights? The only way I could see you adjusting them is if you were to open the holes for the tabs to go into.

ive had the same problem with my aftermarket corners. i got mine from LMS, who has been very helpful in getting me replacement ones to swap with. from every thing ive seen and read so far there really is no aftermarket lights that fit perfectly everytime and and are sealed everytime. 3 sets later i finally have a set that fits well, but now i keep getting condensation in one of the corners..........i guess you just have to pick the lesser of the evils if you want the aftermarket look.

They were actually a little more than $60, which makes me the fool for paying that much for 25 cents worth of junk.

I looked at trying to make adjustments to the mounting points but anything that could be done could not be undone so I decided not to fight w/ bolt ons that don't fit when dealing w/ this car. I've been down that road too many times.

the parking lights are not sealed and not meant to be. If you look on the back there is a small rubber tube that allows air to pass but restricts water. The factory lights did it also but you couldn't tell from the fluting in the lights. Depending on temp conditions and humidity it will be common from time to time but should dry out if you turn the lights on.

Well that sucks I am getting ready to buy corner lights when my cobra lenses arrive. I'll steer clear of cj and 50resto and try my luck with mustangs unlimited then. They have them for $37 so if they fit like crap I won't feel to upset about it.

sorry to hear about your issues with cj's. i live about a mile from there show room and deal with the on a regular basis and have never had a problem. it is prolly a lot easier to just walk into the show room though. I have bought a full set of smoked lights from them a year ago and they fit like a champ. seems like aftermarket lights are just luck of the draw with fitment

I think i'm just going to bite the bullet and shell out the $ for a pair of ford replacement lenses and just keep the car as close to stock as I can. If i can find ford replacement ones.

I am surprised cj's rep hasn't posted in this thread. I'm sure they would do something to stop their name from being slandered

slandered?
slander is when you say something that isn't true to hurt the reputation of someone. I've done nothing but state facts about a product I received and my customer service experience.

All I wanted was them to provide a return shipping refund after I sent them back or send me an RMA shipping label and to take my order for another $600 worth of parts for my '67 while I was on the phone but all the rep wanted to do was get me off the phone.
