clock spring........

tomorrow im selling my clock spring and steering wheel and i want to go with an aftermarket wheel with no air bag. everything will still work right? only lose cruise control and airbag right? im not sure at all and dont want to break anything

Should be fine. Are you getting rid of the module as well?

BTW, why would you not want an airbag?

american iron wont let me use airbags, dont drive the beast on the street much, figured id sell them. im going to keep the module unless someone wants it, maybe it will find its way out of the car if i get some free time

I think if you keep the module it might toss a CEL cause of no clockspring/bag.

Could be wrong..

What color is your interior?

It will toss a CEL. Also if you just pull the bulb out of the dash. The module will beep at you upon start up for a couple minutes. Then its fine. But its one annoying couple minutes. Just pull the module as soon as you can.

airbags have been out for awhile and it just flashes the airbag light, doesnt really bother me. the module beeped for awhile when i first pulled them but its done now. interrior is black, airbags were grey, now half painted black, think im going to strip them back to grey, anyone need them?

im going to pull the module but last time i did that the car wouldnt run, would run for 30 sec then die. runs fine with module and no airbag. might have been something else. this car has been through hell, totalled once, then i rebuilt, pulled the airbags and it started on fire the next day, then smashed up the front end(while on fire) into the side of the garage, and now im just making it a strait autocross car.

damn thing drives me nuts
