ok so long story short ive been having adjusting issues that were causing me to not be able to put the car in a gear. i got a new quadrent assy. from ford and put it in the car. now it only does this when i put the heat on the floor section for about 5min then its done. once its cooled down (i.e not being driven) its like that problem never existed. ive already cut most of the insulation away from the quadrent area. i didnt start to have this problem untill about a month ago, and i did the 5 speed swap 4 months ago. i put the new quad in 2 nights ago......any ideas? :angry7:

The adjustment for the OEM quadrant just envolves pulling up on the clutch pedal with your foot. You'll hear a slight clicking/ratcheting sound if it needs re-adjustment. Otherwise you should be good to go.

I would highly recommend getting a Fiore Racing quadrant & firewall adjuster for it. These are getting hard to find but well worth the effort. Stick with the OEM clutch cable (not the FRPP piece). No aftermarket cable can touch it for durability.

ive never been able to ajust it by pulling up on the pedal then slowly pushing it down. ive always had to crawl under the dash and manually do it
