What’s the go-to these days for clutch cables?

The OEM is discontinued. The maximum Motorsports one has been on backorder for over a year now with no ETA.

The Ford Racing one seems to have mixed reviews and even MM states it’s not constructed the same way as OEM.

I’ve even heard bad things about Steeda cables stretching or failing prematurely.

Do I just scour eBay and pick up a clean used OEM cable?

What you hear about the cables are not completely true. I actually asked this exact same question on here a while back. What I would say is stay away from adjustable cables. I have heard nothing but bad things about those. So long as it is a regular, non-adjustable cable, you should be ok. I have had great luck with the Pioneer cables. They last, and are most similar to OEM from what I can tell. Just in case, pick up two and keep one as a spare. I doubt you will need it, but better safe than sorry.

Yea the adjustable cables most of them are shorter fox length and I hate them . If you route the cable correctly a parts store one will work fine . Most the guys on this page just repeat what they heard someone say on here with out zero experience theirselves .
