Centerforce Dual Friction is what I have and so far im very happy with it. It is handling 450hp well. King cobra is a great value for near to stock applications.

I am having good luck so far with the Fidanza Stage 1 clutch on my stock motor. Just don't use the TOB in the kit...go Ford Racing.

Pretty much anything other than stock. I've recently installed ACT FM1-SPSS kit, which included the pressure plate, clutch disk, alignment too, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing.

1. It's better than Centerforce, because it's rated to about the same power level (450 lbs of torque according to ACT), and it comes with all the stuff needed unlike Centerforce kit (no bearings, or tool included), for exactly the same money.

2. It's about half as light as a stock clutch, yet holds more power. It has to do with ACT specific pressure plate design, which has altered leverage points on the pressure plate fingers, making the pressure pedal way lighter.

On the side note, because the pressure plate design is different, the fingers don't come out as much towards the throwout bearing, so you might need to invest into an adjustable clutch cable. I already had one in the car, and I had to remove about an inch of slack by comparison to stock clutch pressure plate.

I'm running a Spec Stage 1.. no problems so far. But everyone who drives it other than me hates it. People got wimpy legs.

Dude if you are going with a King Cobra! here is a recommendation! buy this clutch!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0598118154&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT

All king cobra clutches are made by Valeo for Ford! the only difference between the FRPP King Cobra and the Valeo King Cobra is the box they package it in! and the outrageous price difference! I just ordered my Valeo King Cobra should be in, in a few days...

I have a Centerforce Dual Friction and it's good for 600-650hp...I love it. Grabs really nicely..no issues with slip AT ALL. As everyone else said, if you are looking for something for a stock-ish application, the King Cobra is the way to go.

dang i didn't think the Centerforce DF were good for that much power.

My spec stage 2 is a beast but the pedal effort is not easy. I didn't trust the TOB I got in the kit, just went with another kind.
