If we're talking function over form, then this is a fail in at least one category. The FUNCTION of his speedometer/odometer can't be having a good day. As far as form, it looks good for what he's doing with it.

they look like some 325/40/17s?

And honestly, that little bit of extra sidewall isnt going to make them magically hook(especially since its a radial, not a wrinkle wall) so the function>form argument is dumb

Ive had 275/50/15s and 295/50/15s and neither of them were doing much more than my 315/35/17s

Big sidewall looks good on 15 inch drag wheels, no so much on 17 inch fr500s IMO.

27 inch tall 50 series tire on 15 inch drag wheel with big lip = winning[/QUOTE

Car looks sick in the pic!, And i can get this car to dead hook on 275-60-15 all day guy but becasue i am the way i am and i like to try new things out to make the car stand out in a crowd ive done this. And to top it off they were $227 Shipped to my door for (2) brand new. alot better then $320 for a set of sumi's again...

You just need better skills. I have mounted both my 275/35s and 255/35s with no issues at all, needed to use the roller on the 255s but the 275 was easy. Try doing 235/40s on a 9" rim, I really, REALLY wanted to shoot our accessory guy making me mount stretched tires!!!

No sidewall makes them super stiff and hard to bend. I don't think it had to do with skills, just didn't have enough ass to get them on without a struggle lol.
