Hey here's the problem my 03 has blew 2 coil packs within the past month.
I'm going to just get a full set. What does everyone think is the best to run?

My car is mostly stock for now but will be getting full bolt-ons soon.

OEM, why pay more when they work perfectly?

Personally, I wouldn't buy used coils, ever... but it really comes down to how much you're willing to spend.

With OEM, you can find good used ones for cheap. (I've been getting about $100 per set of 8 here recently.) But they're used, and you don't know the history behind them. They could fail at any time and then you're stuck spending more money. Or, you can bite the bullet and buy a set of 8 aftermarket new for $250-ish and have the peace of mind knowing there's a warranty behind them if they go out.

AM, has a set of 8 accel coils on sale for $240 right now, before forum discount:

I'm with DeepList. I would never trust used coil's or any used ignition parts for that fact. If you're going full bolt-on's soon you might as well upgrade the coil packs like the Accel ones Deep has.

Oem's are around 500$ around here

Stop shopping at the dealer, rockauto alone has them for $41 ea and that was just the first place I looked, when I did the COP conversion on my car I found a full set of 8 brand new with lifetime warranty for ~$200, not Motorcraft but OEM equivelent, just need to do some digging to find the deals
