ok so opinions and advise would be great on this build.

so to start off i have a 95 gt vert that is 100% complete sitting in my garage and tomorrow im picking up a 87 hatch rolling chassis.

im going to be doing a full swap including motor, trans, rear end, front brakes, dash and door panelsand even complete front clip!!

yes it can be done ive seen pics of it. cant find any thread write ups on it so ill be doing this trial and error but i am extremely expierenced at fabericating things.

any ideas or things i should keep in mind?

i will be posting pics along the way and making notes to do a thread write up when its finished!

I'd like to see finished pics, seems like a ambitious project. Any reason why the swap? lighter weight?

When you say front clip, do you mean like this?

Please god no on the front clip...

Bastardized mustangs hurt my feelings.

Otherwise, good luck!

Motor, trans, brakes, and rear end will be minor in needed modifications. Matching fenders to doors will be the hardest part to blend. Next hardest will be interior swap with electrical, steering mounts, and the needed trimming to finalize the fit.

These are some links I found on people doing the interior swap. I suggest you do the doors before the dash. Placing the doors first will give you a better placement to trim the dash for a cleaner looking install. If you do dash first you will have to do more trimming at doors and they are more visible on where you would have to trim.

Uses fox door panels in these. :( http://forums.corral.net/forums/body-shop/1188274-sn95-dash-foxbody.html

I assume you plan to do sn95 dash, doors, and console when you say full interior or do you plan a no center console option.

If you have any questions about the swap, There is a guy on another forum that's done the drivetrain/interior swap a couple times.
Let me know and I can post a link of his builds

@castine awesome links and pics! that is exactly how i plan on doing the center console delete.

@cc please get me in touch with that guy. im doing as much research as possible so when i start i will have a good idea of the problems ill face and the easiest solutions for them.

@foofinator sorry man yes on the front clip. i love the way it looks and i want something different and more than just a dash an brake swap!

i like it!

my only suggestions would be to prepare to fabricate brackets.... I went from 1996 to 2004 (seems simple enough?) and everything from the ECU, to ABS junk, to the fuse box all required custom fabbed brackets. It sounds like you're more than capable of doing brackets (lol....) but a crap ton of sheet metal and sheet bender goes a lonnnnng way.
